President & CEO Ashwin Kutty and Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer Faten Alshazly were recognized with The Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2 separate ceremonies.

Ashwin is being recognized as a contributor to building a strong community in Nova Scotia and beyond and also for his outstanding and significant service to the Province of Nova Scotia. 

Faten is being recognized for her entrepreneurship in the Province of Nova Scotia as one of the preeminent business leaders today.

The Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal recognizes outstanding Nova Scotians of all ages, from all walks of life, who have built and continue to build a caring society and Province through their service, contributions and achievements. 

“It is an incredible honour to be recognized for the work both I and our entire teams do at WeUsThem for our communities,” said Kutty. “Ensuring we invest and build in our communities that we live, work and play in allows us to collectively grow our Province and shine a light on it from all corners of the world.”

“Having just come out of a pandemic, we are looking to stabilize our economy and our businesses need the support to ensure a growth focus that will propel our Province further.” said Alshazly. “From good jobs to settlement programs, to focusing locally and exporting our goods and services, we have a lot to offer globally.”

The Medal program commemorates the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne, and also serves as a tribute to her life of service.
